DESCRIPTION
Seasoned HR professionals around the world complain that too many managers think that it is entirely the job of the HR department to recruit talent, select talent onboard talent, develop talent, engage talent, and retain talent. These managers want to take no responsibility for it. (These are the same managers who want to devote all their efforts to their technical work and push money-related matters onto the accounting department and IT-related matters on to the MIS department.) Research indicates that managers devote less than 20 percent of their time working directly with their own staff and devote 80 percent of their time to their own work.
This webinar describes a robust approach to developing talent on a daily basis and engaging operating managers in building bench strength. While organizational policies, procedures and programs are strategically important, it is critical that managers be involved in developing talent at a tactical level. Often they fail to do so because they do not know how to do their own work and build bench strength at the same time. This webinar will explain how to do that.
