Most workers in the state have small deductions (less than one percent of their wages) withheld from each pay check. This webinar help you to Gain an understanding of California’s comprehensive web of parental leave laws and learn how to establish a legally compliant leave program.

California law provides a rich, and often confusing, slate of parental leave entitlements. Understanding how they interact with one another is critical to balancing legal compliance with the effects that absenteeism can have on your workplace.

Back in 2002 California passed a law that provides paid family leave benefits to eligible workers paid Family Leave provides benefits to individuals who need to take time off work to care for a seriously ill child, parent, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, spouse, or registered domestic partner.

With this New moms and dads get six weeks off at a little more than half their weekly pay — 55 percent, with a cap that's indexed to inflation each year. Paid Family Leave promotes health and economic security for women, men and children. Unfortunately, only 36% of voters are aware of CA Paid Family Leave, with especially low awareness among low income.
