Rob Jenkins is a well-known writer, speaker, workshop facilitator, and consultant for the higher education, K-12, corporate, and non-profit sectors. An award-winning faculty member, as well as a former department chair and dean, he currently serves as an associate professor at Georgia State University Perimeter College and as a Senior Fellow at the Academy for Advancing Leadership. As a regular contributor to The Chronicle of Higher Education and other publications, Rob has written extensively on teaching and learning, college completion, classroom management, leadership and governance, critical thinking, the higher education job market, and related topics. He is also the author of four books, including Building a Career in America's Community Colleges, The 9 Virtues of Exceptional Leaders (with Karl Haden), and his latest, Welcome to My Classroom. A study guide and companion to The 9 Virtues is set to be released in the summer of 2018, along with the second edition of Welcome to My Classroom, while a new book (working title: Think Better, Write Better) is slated for summer 2019. With certifications from the Chair Academy and The Center for Teacher Effectiveness, Rob has worked with universities, colleges, schools, corporations, hospitals, and other organizations across the country. He has also become a fixture on the conference circuit.
