DESCRIPTION

Technology has transformed the world radically over the last few decades. Computers, the internet, the internet of things (IOT), solar and wind power generation, and much more have made substantive changes in our personal and professional lives as well as in the overall economy. Though there have been a substantial number of technology changes impacting construction, the industry itself has seen declining productivity and a strong resistance to change.

There are at least 21 “early stage startups” that are working on technologies – both software and hardware – oriented at changing the construction industry insofar as how projects are planned, designed, and constructed.

This webinar by construction industry veterans, Benjamin Wooley and James G. Zack, Jr., CCM, CFCC, FAACE, FGPC, FRICS, PMP, will discuss latest advances in construction technology and explore their potential impact on dispute avoidance and project and construction claims management. They will examine how these technology advances are in the process of changing the construction industry and how these technological changes have the potential to avoid or mitigate construction claims.

This is a “first of its kind” webinar where specific advances in construction related technology will be discussed with an eye toward how today’s project and construction management practices are likely to be changed and how these technological advances should help reduce claims and avoid legal disputes at the end of the project.
