DESCRIPTION

All employers are less likely to experience a fire than Workplace Violence (WPV). Actually, the possibility of experiencing WPV is 18 times more as compared to a fire. Despite that, most employers have fully functional fire safety equipment and systems in place while doing nothing on WPV. Even if your management has in place a WPV policy, it’s less likely that prevention protocols, reporting procedures, or a team deployed to control WPV. No employee training. In recent days, there has been a sharp surge in incidents of Active Shooters, up to 70% occurring in business against campuses. In an Active shooter incident, at least 3 people lose their lives and 3 people are injured.

Statistically, before the arrival of police the deadliest phase of Active Shooters in workplaces is usually over within the first 4 to 8 minutes. The incident unfolds at a lightning speed and in terrifying situations. And the most fatal thing at such a time is that your responses do not address those lethal first 4 to 8 minutes. Your employees do not know what or how to respond neither is your emergency team prepared for the situation at hand.

This webinar session will equip you with insights on the plans that you and the employees should make, the training and exercises for this unforeseeable emergency on the rise. Bio Mitchell will give you a profile of the perpetrator, their possible motives and how to plan and prepare your employees on how to stay safe. Active Shooters target high rises, malls, factories, campuses and healthcare. For each of these spots, your response is totally different.
